Song Nominated For Coach Of The Year Award By IFFHS

After 10 matches in charge at the helm of the Indomitable Lions, Coach Rigobert Song has been nominated, alongside 19 other coaches, in the category of coach of the year – by the IFFHS.

A few days before the end of 2022, the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) unveiled the list of nominees for the “Coach of the Year” award. In the list, there’s the name of Rigobert Song, the Indomitable Lions gaffer.

In addition to the name of the Cameroonian technician, there are other juggernauts who took their teams to untrodden heights at the just ended FIFA world cup.

Song is in the company of Didier Deschamps (France), Walid Regragui (Morocco), Lionel Scaloni (Argentina) and Zlatko Dalíc (Croatia). The aforementioned names reached the last four of the World Cup.
