Tawamba Doubles As Tawaoun Share Spoils Against Al – Faisaly

Cameroonian target man Leandre Tawamba scored a brace on Thursday March 10 for his side Al Taawoun against Al – Faisaly in the Saudi championship.

The game however had no winner, as Al – Faisaly searched deep to equalise at the struck of added on time (90+9).

Tawamba opened the scoring at the 11th minute via the penalty spot, before Cape Verde International Júlio Tavares equalised for Al – Faisaly at the 57th minute.

From a Fathi assist, Tawamba netted what what looked to be the game’s decider at the 72nd minute, as the King Abdullah Sport City Stadium erupted in joy.

Coach José Manuel Gomes and his side was left tongue waging in added on time, as Mohammed Al-Saiari drew the teams level, to take a point away.

Tawamba is having the season of his life in the Saudi championship having scored 15 goals and assisted once in 24 league matches.

After 24 match days, Al Taawoun ranks 11th with 25 points harvested so far. 6 games remain for Tawamba and co to try and pull further clear off the relegation.
