‘The Easter Cup Is Life Changing’ – Djoufack Saturnin

Djoufack Saturnin, the General Manager of Best Stars Academy has revealed that the Easter Cup Patricia Berthelot is life changing, as his team readies for the opener against EFBC on Tuesday.

Best Stars Sports Academy will land the kickoff against familiar foes Ecole de Foot Brasseries in the opener of the Easter Cup tomorrow Tuesday, in a repeat of last year’s semi-final.

Pound-for-pound one of the more productive Academies, Best Stars are regulars in the competition, and alongside EFBC, the most capped team in the tournament.

Given his team’s experience in the tourney, Djoufack Saturnin has earned all rights to asses the competition’s impact.

‘it is a properly organised competition by Brasseries du Cameroun and its general manager, Flobert Nono. He is doing a wonderful job. Lives of some players have been changed from this competition.’

Best Stars Academy is yet to win the competition despite several appearances. The Academy supremo, Djoufack Saturnin believes his team can break the jinx in this edition.

“Our group includes powerhouse Ecole de Football Brasseries. We are not afraid. We’ve always challenged them. The competition at times is very tough but we will put everything together to see that we are one of the teams to go through in that group. The Easter cup for us is the champions league in Cameroon. It is a very serious competition.”

Best Stars are placed in a difficult group A consisting of EFBC who are fresh winners of the Chedjou Sports consulting tournament, Royal Leopard of Bertoua, and Bamboutos Mbouda.

Best Stars will approach the competition with 3 key players out in camp with the U17 Lions.

Frank Mafany, Ediage Degualle and Ayuk Cosmas are all unavailable, but the team’s dynamic does not greatly change as per the GM.

“Our trio with the national team do have great ability, but there are many more where they came from.”

Talking the chances of trio to make the final squad for the 2017 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations, the latter added;

‘The youngsters are going to give their all. The team has the depth of 32 players and only 25 will make the final list. They are physical and mentally very strong.’ Djoufack Saturnine ended.
