Thousands gather on the streets of Abidjan to salute Elephants during AFCON trophy parade

Work made way for higher degree elation in Abidjan as newly crowned African Champions had themselves drowned in sea of its suporters who turned out massively to witness the nation third African Cup of Nations trophy parade.
Monday was declared a public holiday in the high demand of H.E president Alassane Ouattara, honoring the Elephants’ trophy parade.
The Elephants braved the 34th AFCON edition in the most dramatic fashion ever rising from the ashes of an early elimination to beating tipped most favorites Nigeria in the finals.
22-years-old Simon Adingra provided two assists to Frank Kessie and Sébastien Haller to complete another emphatic comeback against The Super Eagles who led before half-time through William Troost Ekong.
Thousands once again filled the Felix Houphouët Boigny Stadium where the ticket to the final was secured in a 1-0 win over DR Congo to better honor this group of national heroes who have brought nothing but nationwide enthusiasm in the last two weeks.
They crowded major points in Abidjan such as the Cocody Bridge opened before the start of the tournament jeering praises to the National Men’s football.
Similar prades are expected in other parts of the country especially cities like San Pedro, Korhogo and Yamoussoukro.
