Turbo – Charged Njie, Helps Dynamo Gaslight Khimki
Cameroon International winger – Njie Clinton played 90 minutes of his team’s advance day 12 game in the Russian top – flight, and contributed massively as Dynamo trumped 13 – placed Khimki (4-1).
28 – year old Njie kept his place for the entire duration of the game, and goodness, the confidence vested on the man at his prime – by coach Sandro Schwarz, was repaid.
It was a day in which Dynamo Moscow fans paid homage to legendary, goal – guard, Lev Ivanovich Yashin, nicknamed the “Black Spider” or the “Black Panther”. Lev was a Soviet professional footballer, regarded by many as the greatest goalkeeper in the history of the sport. He had never played for another club other than Dynamo Moscow – between 1950 and 1970, and today would have made him 92.
Dynamo started the first half as though they meant it with Njie Clinton in the mix.
The home side opened scores as early as the 12th minute via Nikola Moro, the Croat.
It wasn’t long before center forward Vyacheslav Grulyov got in the act, four minutes from half the hour mark to make it 2-0.
19 year old Konstantin Tyukavin scored his fourth goal of the season at the 52nd minute before Vyacheslav Grulyov’s brace, killed it off.
Second half substitute – Kemal Ademi pulled a consolation for Khimki, which counted for nothing.
In all, it has been a great improvement for Njie Clinton, who has now successively started two games in a row.
Dynamo springs to second place, tied on 23 points with leaders Zenit, who have a game in hand.
Njie and co hit the road for a cup game on Tuesday against Oremburg.
