Turkish Cup: Serge Tabekou Scores As Minasa Exit In 4th Round

Serge Tabekou, 25, was on target in Manisa Buyuksehir Belediye Spor’s 4-2 loss in the fourth round of the Turkish Cup, on Nov. 30.

Manisa however crumbled after having taken a two – nil first half lead, against Altay.

The Turkish second – tier took the lead through Veli Çetin, with 34 minutes on the clock, before Tabekou increased tally at the 41st minute.

First – tier side Altay, however showed their class over Manisa, playing in the lower tier.

It rained chaos for coach Turgay Altay and his co, as his team conceded four without reply in the second half.

A resurgence started with Ahmed Yasser, who completed a brace at the 69 minute to make the game 2 – all. Another brace from Marco Paixão completely turned the game on its head.

The goal on Tuesday was Tabakou’s first in 13 outings for Manisa. The winger is expected to head back to Belgium outfit Mouscron, when his loan spell finishes in June next year.
