Turkish Super Lig: Aboubakar scores as Besiktas beat Konyaspor 2-0

Beşiktaş defeated Tümosan Konyaspor 2-0 away in game day 7 of the Turkish Super League.

Beşiktaş, coming off a defeat in its last 2 official matches, took a breather, as the black and whites  increased their points in the league to 13.

Uğurcan Yazğılı scored an own goal and Vincent Aboubakar scored another which gave Beşiktaş the victory in the match played at the Konya Metropolitan Municipality Stadium. The home team had their work made harder after Oğulcan Ülgün received a red card in the 55th minute, leaving his team with 10 men.

Tümosan Konyaspor lost successive points in a row. Aleksandar Stanojevic’s team remained at 9 points.

Beşiktaş took the lead at 45+1. Konyaspor’s Uğurcan tried to clear Rashica’s cross, but the ball hit the net.

Konyaspor was down to 10 men in the 55th minute. Okulcan Ülgün, who received a yellow card after his tackle against Aboubakar, received another yellow card after his reaction to the referee’s decision and was sent out of the game.

Vincent Aboubakar appeared on the score sheet in the 62nd minute. Vincent Aboubakar side stepped his opponents with very elegant tricks, before extending the score to 2-0 with a hard shot. It was his third goal in the championship thus far.
