U17 WWC: Nigeria, Morocco Record Second Day Victories
The second day of the Women’s Under-17 World Cup took place on Friday with two of the three participating African teams picking up wins.
First, the women’s team of Nigeria defeated New Zealand at 11:00 GMT at Fatorda Stadium 4-0, After their 2-1 defeat against the Germans last Tuesday, the Flamingos bounced back and checked their situation.
The second team from that entered the arena yesterday was Morocco.
The Atlas Cubs took on the host nation, following a 2-1 loss to the Mexicans three days ago, and won their game 3-0. The match took place at 2:30 p.m at the filled Kalinga Stadium.
The third African nation remaining on the menu, who will compete today are Tanzania. The Serengeti Girls are to challenge the France at 11 a.m. GMT. The Tanzanians were the African nation with the heaviest entry defeat, after losing 4-0 to the Japanese on day one.
