U20 Lions Captain Meyapya, Joins Bahoken At Angers SCO

Under-20 Lions skipper Blondon Belanof Meyapya Fongain has reportedly signed a 4 year contract with French side Angers SCO, with an undisclosed fee.

The starlet is going to join Indomitable Lions teammate and countryman Stephane Bahoken, who has spent three seasons at the club already.

Born On February 10, 2001, Blondon Meyapya has matured overtime to be a fine defender. The center half guided the Under-20 Lions of Cameroon to the quarter finals of this year’s TotalEnergies Under-20 Nations Cup.

The youngster leaves Fauve Azure Elite in a dominant position, fighting for an Elite One promotion.

Meyapya’s combo with Goni Ali was described unscathed for most parts of the U20 Nations cup. His heroics earned him a place in the team of the competition.

The lad will prolly adapt quickly with French side Angers SCO, as he becomes the third Cameroon international in less than five years to play for the side, after; Toko Ekambi and Stephane Bahoken.

Meantime, Angers SCO are waiting on a court hearing to know if they maintain their Ligue 1 status. They inadvertently relegated to the French Ligue 2 as per the National Management Control Department of the Ligue 1.
