U23 Lionesses Complete Double Over Morocco

The U23 Lionesses completed a double (two victories) over Morocco in two friendlies played in the space of 5 days.

On April 9 at the Mohammed 6 stadium, in the reversed fixture, Mike Ndoumou’s ladies did the essential against their Moroccan counterparts by winning via a 1-0 scoreline.

After a tight first set that ended zero-all, a goal came in the 56th minute of the second half. Well served by her Lekie FF club teammate Raissa Nnanga, Brenda Tabe put the Lionesses ahead.

After a 2-1 score in the first leg, the U23 lionesses, despite the absence of their captain Diane Tchanko, (given matching orders in the first match), managed to keep their clean sheets in the second game, for a 3-1 aggregate score.

While waiting for the May tournament in France, the Cameroon’s U23 national team will return home with a feeling of having accomplished the mission.
