UMS Sneaking Up On Colombe Unperturbed

UMS Loum have kept sneaking their way towards the top end of group A in the MTN Elite One championship after a 2-1 victory against Avion Academy on match day 7.

The men of Ndoumbe Bosso are on a three game winning streak since that narrow 2-1 defeat against Canon of Yaounde on match day 4.

Creative midfeild metronome, Collins Ashi, scored the game’s opener at the 16th minute.

UMS however had their work cut out when Avion Academy pulled one back courtesy Ewoume Hongla at the 73rd minute.

The game was headed for a parity up until the 88th minute when Ndedi slammed in the winner to spark joyous scenes for a handful of UMS fans, at the Bepanda Annex stadium.

UMS, incredibly, now occupy second position with 13 points, while Avion are languishing in the bottom half of the table with just 5 points after 7 games played.

Up next for UMS is heavyweights Cotonsport on Saturday Dec. 24, while Avion pits Renaissance.
