Volleyball Lionesses: Laetitia Moma Retires

Laetitia Moma Bassoko, 28, officially retired from international duties citing personal reasons, on Wednesday March 9.

The VBC Chamalières cult hero follows Stephanie Fotso and Christelle Nana as the third volleyball Lioness to call it quit in their International career.

The Cameroonian international currently plays GS Caltex Seoul, where she has been since 2021.

Laetitia was at the center of Jean Rene Akono’s team as they successfully retained their title in 2021, as CAVB African Women’s Volleyball Champions after a 3-1 victory over Kenya at Kigali Arena.

Cameroon beat the East Africans 3 sets to 1 (25-21, 25-23, 15-25 and 25-23) to successfully defend the title that they had won in 2019. Alongside other veterans, it was her third African championship title.
