Jean Baptiste Besseck completed his first training session today with thd Indomitable Lionesses in Nairobi ahead of 2024 WAFCON qualifier second leg against Kenya slated for Tuesday, September 26 at 1pm Cameroon time.

The team landed in the Kenyan capital with a 1-0 edge over the Harambee Starlets, courtesy of Maba Lambo’s 10th minute header which made the difference in Douala three days back.

A slim advantage for a new team under new management means all isn’t done just yet with both sides having a 50percent chance of sailing to the next round of qualifiers and the lionesses are aware of this.

Midfielder Grace Ngock Yango says she and her compatriots are ready to put in all efforts as the tie yet to be settled.

“The doing fine and we know it’s going to difficult game since they’re just a goal down and I think theyhave ambitions to qualify. We’ll put in our best. The objective remains to win the game.”

At individual level, Yango who pull out an excellent display in Douala is in good shape and believes even the newcomers are in a fine state for tomorrow’s encounter.

Mayi Kith expects her co-defenders to be always ready after what she witnessed in Douala. “They play on the ground and sharp with counter attacks, so we need to be strong in the middle and prevent them from advancing.”
