Wamba Leonel Ends Latvian championship With A Hat – Trick Of Awards

Former Under-17 Lion international – Wamba Leonel Djouffo ended the Latvian championship with three personal accolades for his team on Sunday Nov. 7, after Spartaks Jurmala’s final league game against Liepaja.

The 19 – year – old who has been utterly brilliant throughout the football calendar year bagged the award of the Most Valuable Player, Best forward, and goal of the season.

Despite Spartaks’ defeat to Liepaja on match day 28, it was a fair season as Spartaks ended 5th in the 9 – team championship. They recorded 11 wins, 2 draws and 15 defeats.

Wamba Leonel scored 14 goals in 23 matches played in the Virsliga, including that superb solo – finish against against Metta/Lu in second half added time, that won him the goal of the season for his team.

For a rookie, it has been a glorious season for Leonel Wamba, who equally won the player of the months of July – August, handed by FIFA boss – Gianni Infantino. There will sure be many other clubs out there in need for Wamba’s services.
