Former Indomitable Lions skipper Nicolas Nkoulou started and lasted 64 minutes at the Vicarage road, in Watford’s 4-1 winner over a punctured Manchester United side.

It happened on the ocassion of match day 12 of the English Premier League, and to many, it might be the guillotine on Ole Gunner Solskjaer who has had an absolute stinker of results recorded, in recent times.

It all started at the 28th minute with Joshua King’s goal. Wan Bissaka’s poor clearance went only as far as Denis on the right of the box. He then took it to the byline and delivered for King, who side footed for 1-0 Watford.

Senegalese international Ismael Sarr doubled the money for Watford at the 44th minute. United shot themselves in the foot by not clearing their lines. Feminina pulled it back to Sarr, who fired past De Gea for 2-0.

Five minutes after the resumption of the second half, United pulled one back through Dutch international Dutch international – Van De Beek. Ronaldo cushioned a header back to Van De Beek who nodded into the net.

With time running out and and United in search for an equaliser, Watford struck again. João Pedro scored on the rebound after De Gea had parried his first attempt straight back to his path.

At the 6th minute of second added on time, Emmanuel Bonaventure added another to pile on the misery on Manchester United with a fourth, to end the game.

The game was 31-year-old Nkoulou’s third of the campaign. Watford have had a turn in fortunes since Ranieri took over.

The hornets move up to 16th with 13 points, while United are placed on the 7th position in mid – table with 17 points after 12 matches.
