Malawi would sort of use their last two World Cup qualifying games against Cameroon and Mozambique, as a perfect dress rehearsal heading to the AFCON finals in January.
The flames have nothing to lose, but they could be pivotal in whosoever eventually qualifiers for the round of sudden death in the Qatar World Cup qualifiers, as the race has turned to be a two horse race between Cameroon and Cote D’Ivoire.
Malawi are 3rd on the log with 3 points in group D, while Mozambique tops from the bottom with just a single point registered.
If the Indomitable Lions can pull a result from South Africa, all eyes will turn to Douala, Japoma, for the final game between Cameroon and Cote D’Ivoire. The stakes are high and the mission for team Cameroon is clear; win her remaining games and sail through.
Malawi are currently 3rd in group B after four match days. Cameroon won the first leg by two – goals to nothing. Vincent Aboubakar and Michael Ngadeu were both heroes on match day one of the qualifiers.
Malawi against Cameroon will be played at the Orlando stadium in South Africa at 2 pm on Nov. 13.
