World Cup Draw: Tunisia In Group D With Holders France

Four days after having won their ticket for the 2022 World Cup, the Tunisian national team got to know their opponents in the 2022 World Cup build for November, in Qatar.

The Carthage Eagles are placed alongside: France, Peru/UAE/Australia, and Denmark In group D.

The draw was done in the presence of some FIFA legends: Ex Algerian footballer – Rabah Madjer, Lothar Matthaus, Cafu, Adel Ahmed Malallah, Ali Daei, Bora Milutinovic, Jay -Jay Okocha and Tim Cahill.

Tunisia claimed a 1-0 victory over Mali in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, winning the first-leg match at the Stade du 26 Mars (0-1) before finishing the job in Rades, where it ended zero-all.

Tunisia will make their sixth appearance at the finals in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. However, Tunisia have not been able to progress past the group stage on any occasions.

3 nations still have to validate their ticket for Doha: the winner of the last European play-off (Wales or Ukraine or Scotland) and the two winners of the intercontinental play-offs (Peru or United Arab Emirates or Australia; Costa Rica or Nova Zeeland).
