World Handball Championship: Team Cameroon players begin to disappear without trace

The handball World Championship in Sweden, Denmark and Norway has been a sporting success for Cameroon. However, the disappearance of two athletes have dampened excitement in camp.

For the first time, the country qualified for the intermediate round of the tournament.

Cameroon were defeated by host nation Sweden in main round (group I), Gothenburg on Thursday. The handball lionesses put a good fight, in the game which ended (37-13) for Sweden, with Cameroon missing some players.

sportglitz.com can confirm that two players from the Cameroon squad have disappeared from the team, which initially consisted of only 14 players, sometime between the World Cup training matches and the opening match against Montenegro in Helsingborg.

They reportedly were not kidnapped. The players sneaked out of camp. The situation is only reoccurring for team Cameroon.

During the handball World Championship of 2021, five players disappeared from Cameroon’s squad.
