YOSA makes playoffs after nerve-racking win over Fovu
Yong sports academy (YOSA) qualified for the Play-offs after a laborious but successful outing against Fovu.
The Academicians of Bamenda defeated Fovu club of Baham at the municipal stadium of Mbouda.
It was on the occasion of the 18th and final day of the regular phase of Elite One.
After the parity score against Victoria United, YOSA defeated Fovu (3-2).
It was skipper, John Bosco Nchindo who opened the scoring, 18 minutes into the game.
Mandje Koudeka restored parity 3 minutes after the half hour mark.
Very active in the run of play, Nchindo scored his second in the 39th minute to make it 2-1.
The numerous supporters who had made the trip from the North West brought a lovely atmosphere to the stands.
This celebration will be short-lived because Fovu de Baham leveled again.
Arsène Nandje had Yindui Amido Mohammed rooted to the spot in added time (45+2′).
At 2-2, the match got carried away. Fovu tried to take the lead.
At 50 minutes of play, Patrick Handzongo scored the third goal (3-2) for the Academicians, synonymous with qualification for the Play-offs.
