YOSA’s Ekoi Manfred Seduces In Friendly Against PWD

2019 U17 AFCON winner, Ekoi Manfred has asserted himself and adapted pretty well in Yosa’s squad less than a week after his arrival.

The youngster was between the sticks as Yong Sports Academy pulled a victory against sister club PWD of Bamenda in a pre season friendly, geared towards preparing the club that pride’s itself as the ‘yellow sub marines’ for the start of the season.

Yosa conceded one goal from the spot, but as the name goes, it remains a ‘lottery’. The lad however dived he way of Leonel Ateba’s penalty, but couldn’t get it in his grasp.

Neat footwork, great timing and wonderful communication with his center half’s were the main points to retain from the former Best Stars trainee, fresh from his two year spell in Spain.

YOSA hasn’t had issues with goalkeepers for the last couple of years as even last season, goalkeeper Ashu Kevin was a hand full. Kevin would hardly be missed if Manfred continues to grow in stature.
