Ze Set To Leave WAC Before Contract Expiration

Lacking playing time at Wydad Athletic Club Casablanca, Didier Ze Lamkel is on the verge of leaving Morocco.

The 26-year-old Cameroonian international, during an interview with SNRTnews, announced his departure from Morocco: “I am leaving next week for Belgium. I don’t want to stay at Wydad anymore, because I don’t play. I’m going to leave while waiting for my official termination of contract with the president of the club. I informed the coach and also my teammates of my departure,” he said.

Loaned for 6 months to the Botola Pro League champions by Kortrijk FC, the former Niort player has not had the chance to assert himself. He has played 6 games in all competitions with the reds during his stay.

However, the main reason that would have pushed him to make this decision is his disagreement with the new WAC coach, Juan Carlos Garrido. Since the arrival of the Spanish technician on the bench of the Moroccan giants, Lamkel no longer makes the lists for more than a month.

Faced with the situation, the Bertoua-born forward has therefore decided to return to Belgium, pending the official termination of his contract, while also remaining attentive to future club offers that may arrive.
