National Interpools: Krimi, Bafmeng scoop points in goals galore game day

Game day 2 in pool B of the 2023 National Interpools had 6 goals with Bafmeng United and Krimi FC getting maximum points, at the Olembe Annex A stadium on Tuesday.

The first card at 1 pm local time saw Krimi FC take on Ngoundere FC. Both teams were witnessing diversed fortunes after game day 1.

Krimi bounced back from a day 1 defeat to Bafmeng United to defeat group B heavyweights Ngoundere FC.

The North regional representatives took the lead in first half borrowed time (45+2) through Papa Ntingui from the penalty spot.

The lead was doubled after the pose via Mondiole Emma’s powerful header at the 52nd minute to seal the deal for Krimi FC. 2-0 it ended.

In the 3:00 pm kick-off, Bafmeng continued their superb start to the tourney from last week, with a 3-1 win over Olympique of Biwong Bane.

Bafmeng had and early penalty shout granted by the referee and it was eventually converted by Enah Ashu at the 2nd minute of play.

Three minutes afterwards, Olympique of Biwong Bane (OBB) had its own chance to convert from the spot, but it was parried out by Ngam Leonard.

OBB paid almost immediately courtesy a double in quick succession in the first stanza from Godswill Sone, as it ended 3-0 at the pose.

OBB came back much improved and at times outplayed Bafmeng, but the scoreline was enormous to try and change, despite a late resurgence started after Alain Zidan’s goal.

Group B is open with Bafmeng having a foot in the semis already (6 points). There is still everything to play for: Ngoundere FC, OBB and Krimi FC.
