Elite: Gazelle leave down west with a point against Aigle

2021/22 Elite 2 top scorer, Marius Ngong Kada netted at the 65th minute on game day 5 to nick a point off Aigle in group A.

Gazelle FA have moved on from the newbie tag to, now, an Elite side, seemingly playing for the title for a second straight season.

The side coached by Kada Alioum started their game day 5 clash slowly at the Bamendzi stadium, but came back from a goal down – to pip a point.

Coach Olivier Nankam’s Aigle had a possiblity to grab its first three points after a 62nd minute strike from Jean Yves Mbida.

However, the El Pacha went to bed, and Gazelle’s resilience led to an instant reply, through Marius Kalgong Kada, three minutes later.

What the draw does, is keep Gazelle in a playoffs spot (4th) in group A, with 8 points after 5 playing days.

Quite a different fortune for Aigle, who are languishing at the bottom half of group A (10th) with just 2 points recorded so far.
