YANGA Trounced by resolute Belouizdad in CAF CL Opener

Young Africans launched their CAF Champions League group stage mission on back pedal after suffering a 3-0 loss to CR Belouizdad.

The match at Stade du 5 Juliet in Algeria on Friday night saw two first half goals by Abdelraouf Benguit and Abderrahmane Meziane.

Substitute Lamin Jallow netted in stoppage time to seal the deal and hand the visitors a big upset.

Following the results, the hosts bagged essential three points from home venue to start well their group stage campaign with a clean sheet.

The Algerian side was tactically too good for their Tanzanian counterpart no wonder they have walked away chest up.

Up next, Yanga host champions league title holders Al Ahly at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam on December 2nd.
