FECAFOOT Elections: Fabien Mvogo Quits Seidou’s Camp, Backs Eto’o

Eding Sports Proprietor and FECAFOOT – Center regional bureau president, Saint Fabien Mvogo has tipped Lions hall of fame forward, Samuel Eto’o to be the next FECAFOOT President.

However, according to sportsglitz.net sources,
the current executive of FECAFOOT is working to block the potential candidacies of Samuel Eto’o and Geremi Njitap for election as president of the Cameroon Football FA.

It was one of the several reasons why the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Professor Narcisse Mouelle Kombi, opposed the holding of the Extraordinary General Assembly of July 13, 2021.

This online news agency has come across classified Information, that indicates elections for the departmental and regional leagues have already been fixed with winners known.

Reasons For Mvogo, deciding to side with Eto’o

Instead of the votes, demanded by World Football Governing body (FIFA), incumbent president – Seidou Mbombo Njoya’s FECAFOOT will sought to designate future presidents of regional and even departmental leagues.

Saint Fabien Mvogo is current president of the Center regional league which is considered to be one of the best in Cameroon, but will have to be shown the door, due to his undiluted support of the probable candidacy of Samuel Eto’o, with whom he has close ties with.

Saint Fabien Mvogo, was one of the main reasons why Seidou Njoya won the office in 2018.

Mvogo is now seen as an adversary, especially as he did not let Seidou Njoya dictate to him.

At the heart of the crisis in the professional league where club presidents demanded state subsidy, Seidou Njoya and his collaborators did not appreciate Mvogo’s solidarity with the cause of club presidents.
Seidou’s refusal to pre-finance the return phase of the regional championship was also frowned upon by the current leader of the federation.

Until the point of this piece, Saint Fabien has not been payed for pre-financing the center regional league from 2015 to 2017 which had allowed Yaoundé II (YAFOOT) and AS Fortuna to access Elite Two. Mvogo has equally not been compensated, as expected, for his absence from the African campaign after winning the Cameroon Cup in 2018. Seidou Mbombo Njoya,
The current 4th vice-president of CAF is also working to lure the electorate and challenge some supposed opponents. Njoya’s gimmicks of two places in the executive committee for the next professional football league, and an additional place for the far-north regional league to the detriment of those of the Center and the Littoral, could all go against the candidacy of the former Indomitable Lions of Cameroon striker, Samuel Eto’o, and defender – Geremi Njitap.

Eto’o could possibly have an outcome like Didier Drogba whose candidacy was not validated by the electoral commission of the Ivorian football federation, causing great crisis
according to our credible sources. Five candidates are expected to run for the position of president in the forthcoming elections
