Exclusive: Nkoudou to join Oumar Gonzalez at Al Read

Cameroon international, Georges – Kevin Nkoudou will leave Saudi top-flight side Damac – in the summer after 2 successful seasons, sportglitz can exclusively confirm.

An agreement has been reached between Al Raed (another Saudi side) , Damac and the player’s camp this Wednesday, January 15th. He will represent Al Read for the next three years.

However, Nkoudou will finish the remainder of the season before joining his fellow Cameroon international, Oumar Gonzalez over the summer.

Since suiting-up with Damac from Besiktas, Nkoudou has been the silver lining in his team’s mid-table scuffles in the Saudi pro League.

In 46 games donning the Damac uniform, Nkoudou has netted 23 times and dished out 8 assists.

This season alone, Nkoudou continues to impress with 8 goals and 3 assits from 15 championship games.

After 15 games played in the championship, Damac seats at 10th position in the Saudi Pro League table with 18 points.

Al Read, meanwhile, are placed 13th in the 18-team championship. The switch will enhance Al Raed’s chances to compete with other teams at the top end of the table.

Nkoudou has equally had flashes of brilliance with the indomitable Lions.

He was unarguably Cameroon’s best player at the 2023 AFCON with 3 assists to his name. He continues to impress these days when given the opportunity by coach Marc Brys.
