PFL Africa Semifinals: Cameroonian Fighters Aim for Glory in Kigali

The inaugural PFL Africa semifinals are set to take place on October 18, 2025, in Kigali, Rwanda, featuring five Cameroonian fighters vying for a spot in the finals. This historic event marks a significant milestone in African mixed martial arts (MMA), showcasing the continent’s growing talent and passion for the sport.
Heavyweight Semifinal: Maxwell Djantou Nana vs. Justin Clarke
Cameroon’s Maxwell Djantou Nana, known as “Leonidas,” will face South Africa’s undefeated Justin Clarke in a highly anticipated heavyweight clash. Nana, with a professional record of 7–1, is renowned for his striking power and aggressive fighting style, while Clarke, standing at 6’3″ and weighing 265 lbs, brings an undefeated record of 3–0 into the bout, making this a compelling matchup between two formidable heavyweights.
Welterweight Semifinals: Octave Ayinda vs. Shido Boris Esperança & Emilios Dassi vs. Yabna N’Tchalá
In the welterweight division, Cameroon’s Octave Ayinda will take on Angola’s Shido Boris Esperança. Ayinda, with a perfect 7–0 record, is known for his dynamic striking and relentless pace, while Esperança, holding a 10–1 record, is a seasoned fighter with a reputation for technical prowess and resilience. Meanwhile, Cameroon’s Emilios Dassi, a rising star with a 5–1 record, will face Guinea-Bissau’s Yabna N’Tchalá, who boasts an impressive 12–2–1 record. Featherweight Semifinal: Alain Majorique vs. Mohamed Camara
In the featherweight division, Cameroon’s Alain Majorique, nicknamed “African Assassin,” will face Guinea’s Mohamed Camara. Majorique enters the bout with an undefeated record of 5–0, showcasing a blend of speed and precision, while Camara, with a 5–3–1 record, is known for his tactical approach and adaptability inside the cage.
The winners of these semifinal bouts will advance to the finals in Benin in December, where the first-ever PFL Africa champions across the four divisions will be crowned.
