RSB and Pyramids FC Share the Spoils in Berkane
The highly anticipated CAF Champions League clash between RS Berkane and Pyramids FC ended in a 0-0 draw on Saturday, leaving the top of Group A in a deadlock. Despite playing at home, the Orange Boys were unable to capitalize on several clear-cut opportunities, allowing the defending champions from Egypt to escape with a valuable point.
RS Berkane dominated much of the attacking play, but a lack of clinical finishing—specifically from star forward Oussama Lamlioui—proved costly.
Despite the frustration for Berkane, the draw keeps both sides in a commanding position to reach the quarterfinals.
Earlier in the day, the group’s other contenders, Power Dynamos and Rivers United, played out their own scoreless draw in Zambia. This result ensures that Pyramids and Berkane maintain their significant lead at the top of the table.
The rivalry moves to Egypt next Sunday. Pyramids FC will host the return fixture in Cairo, where the Orange Boys will hope to find the clinical edge that eluded them in Morocco.
