2015 CAF Player – Enganamouit Cites Threats By FA President, As Reason She Resigned From TM Post
In a letter dated November 4 addressed to the Interim President of FECAFOOT, Gael Deborah Enganamouit, winner of the CAF Women’s Ballon d’Or 2015, announced her resignation from the position of Team Manager of the Senior Women’s national selection.
In the letter, the player explained that her resignation is as a result of threats she allegedly suffered from Seidou Mbombo Njoya.
“On October 17, 2021 in Douala at the Sawa Hotel during lunch time you called me (…) you did not finish your remarks without asking me to ‘be careful with whom I walk’,” Gaelle Enganamouit wrote.
“On October 23, 2021 in Garoua, (…) you also did not fail to remind me that my place was not there, all while shouting at me and threatening me with disciplinary sanctions that would follow, without giving me the opportunity to explain, you left, “she explained.
In her one page resignation letter, the 2016 AWCON finalist couldn’t take the pressure no longer and has cracked.
The retired Cameroon International was handed the position of Team Manager of Cameroon’s female national football team – mid this year.
The striker was part of the new management staff of the country’s women’s national football team, led by coach Gabriel Zabo. FA president Seidou Njoya is yet to react to the outing, but pundits hold that it has to do with the FECAFOOT Elections.
