Cameroon Pre Season Friendlies: The Solidarity Tourney Takes Off To Good Effect

The International solidarity tournament finally kick – started on Wednesday December 1st, with 3 entertaining fixtures, that had PWD as top match; PWD against Renaissance Ngoumou.

The tourney was opened by the Mayor for the Mbankomo community, Mr. Junior Fouda, before hostilities started – from the U20s with Tad Sports going against Best Talent.

Tad Sports got the better of Best Talent via a two – nil goal line; Demepeme Abdou Hagues Des Gorces both scoring to gift Tad Sports all three points.

For the second game, still at the U20 category, Essos United defeated ACINFOOT AS 3-1. It was an utterly dominant display for Essos United, clearly depicted by the scoreboard. ACINFOOT took the lead at the 10th minute with Kwom Willy’s strike, before Katagna Berthaud equalised at the 26th minute. Pondi Paul then struck 3 minutes later to turn the tie on its head. It then took a 74th minute ‘coup de grace’ from Monty Gabriel, to seal the game.

The third and final game on the afternoon was played – out between two well known teams.

Cameroon Cup finalists – PWD and Elite Two side Renaissance of Ngoumou thrilled fans though PWD ended up with a handsome lead.

Nchindo Cletus, brother to Nchindo John Bosco grabbed the headlines after Nji Nobert had put the Abakwa Boys ahead with a quarter of the game gone.

A third goal from youngster Chem Hebert put a gloss on the score line for the Abakwa Boys, as they won with flourish against Renaissance.

Three games continue on December 2nd at the CAF Mbankomo Center;

AS Futuro vs Academie La Forme Foot (9 am)

Fauve Azur vs Aigle de la Menoua (11 am)

AS FAP vs TKC (1 pm)

All the games will be a worth – watch, especially the encounter pitting last year’s tourney finalists – Fauve Azur, against Aigle Royal of newly appointed coach Ndoko Bryan.
