Just In: Eto’o Beats Seidou To FECAFOOT Top Job

Cameroon Football legend and AFCON’s all time scorer, Samuel Eto’o has prolly netted the most valuable goal in his footballing career after retirement.

The 2000/2002 AFCON winner has massively been elected president of the Cameroon Football Federation, today December 11 in Yaounde.

Samuel Eto’o unseats Incumbent and CAF fourth Vice President Saidou Mbombo Njoya with a Total of 43 votes to 31 in the position contested by Six men
today.

The electoral college made up 76 eligible voters from ten regional delegations shared their ballots between the two main candidates.

This comes to put to bed all the cacophony that has been existent during the campaigns that lasted for more than a month.

Last minute rallies meant, out of 6 candidates, just two main actors were at the frontline. Justin Tague, Krepin Nyamsi and Kessack rallied behind Eto’o, while Jules Onana and Zacharie sided with Seidou, leaving the remaining 4 candidates without a single vote.
