Inter vs Ajax: The Pairing Onana Would Have Passed In The UCL R16

More or less a case of when he joins Inter, rather than if he joins them, Andre Onana might just have been paired against his former teammates in the Champions league round of 16.

The Cameroonian goalkeeper who was out from all football related activities for 9 months is highly courted, and indeed, might have already reached an agreement with Internazionale, to join the Serie A giants in January.

Inter are set to take on Ajax, Onana’s parent club – on February 15 and March 8, on a home and away basis.

The round of 16 draws done today at the UEFA headquarters based in Nyon, shows that 25-year-old Onana will certainly be taking on his former employers in February.

In many cases, an athlete taking on his former franchise has that feeling of; showing the former boss what he learnt, and what they are missing.

Andre Onana has so far played one out of 6 group games in the UCL; the 2-1 victory over Besiktas at the Vodafone arena.

Onana’s Performances this season has been limited to four: for clubs and country.

If the deals Erik ten Hag and the Ajax staff to get a starters role against Inter on December.
