Victor Osimhen Reveals ‘He Is Available For AFCON’

Napoli star – Victor Osimhen, has taken to his tweeter handle to reveal that contrary to earlier reports, he will be available to ply for the Super Eagles in the 2021 AFCON, unless he doesn’t make the gaffer’s cut

‘I will be available for AFCON. Unless if am not among the players picked to represent NIGERIA,’ the EX Lille forward wrote.

There has been lots happening at the Nigerian Football Federation since Osimhen picked up a nasty head injury. Osimhen suffered a left cheekbone and orbital fracture in Napoli’s Serie A clash against Inter Milan on November 21. He then went through a successfully surgery, and looks set to get back to action.

In that stint, Gernot Rohr has been sacked as Nigeria coach after five years in charge, with technical director Augustine Eguavoen replacing the German on an interim basis.

Augustine Eguavoen is yet to release a provisional list. Osimhen has scored 6 goals in 8 games played this year – for the Super Eagles. In total, he has contributed 10 goals in 19 games for the Nigeria men’s senior team.
