Cameroon Absent, Senegal Dominates, AS Pitso Is Handed Trainer’s Role In IFFHS Team Of 2021

The International Federation for Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) has made public its African dream team of the year 2021.

Senegal is the most represented country in their first 11 with 4 players in different compartments.

The top scorer in the group stage of the European Champions League, Sébastien Haller, leads the top with Egypt’s Mohamed Salah.

Mohamed Salah is in the form of his life this year. He’s managed to score 21 goals and make 9 assists, contributing a total of 30 goals in Liverpool’s first 22 games this season. He was second in the table of top scorers last season, after Harry Kane, the Tottenham Hotspur striker, with a gap of just one goal.
The Egypt international is currently at the top of the Premier League scorers chart, with 14 goals, ahead of Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy by 5.

On the sidelines we have as players such as Cameroonians Andre Onana and Joël Matip, 2019 scorer of Algeria’s winning goal – Bounedjah, Guinean midfeilder – Naby Kéita, Eric Bailly, Hakim Ziyech and Ghana’s Thomas Partey.

The South African tactician, Pitso Mosimane of Al Ahly has been picked as trainer of the team.
