Abdessamad Ezzalzouli: Barcelona Winger Ditch Morocco For Spain

According to several Spanish media outlets, Abdessamad Ezzalzouli has chosen to play for the Spanish selection and not Morocco.

It comes in as some sad news for the Moroccan selection and Vahid Halilhodzic for the next African Cup of Nations which will take place in Cameroon in few days.

20-year-old Abde Ezzalzouli, who has been a silver lining in Barcelona’s bleak season, reportedly cracked under pressure from his peers, and picked Spain.

He arrived at FC Barcelona last September, and has gathered enough playing time in the attacking half of Barcelona since the appointment of Xavi as coach.

He has been part of Barcelona’s last five league games, and took the opportunity to score his first goal for the Blaugranas against Osasuna on December 12.
