Kamou Malo Returns In Must Win For Burkina Faso

Burkinabè head coach, Kamou Malo has returned in full capacity after having tested for Covid-19 before his side’s 2-1 defeat on opening day.
Malo must beat Cape Verde in a bid to keep knockout phase hopes alive. Addressing the press in Yaoundé, the tactician expressed his frustration for not being present with his well nurtured squad when they took on Cameroon.
Squaring up against Cape Verde without captain, Bertrand Traoré seems not to be a course for concern to Kamou Malo who is bent on forging ahead.
“The Covid19 intrigues did not affect our results on Sunday. We our looking at the future and not reminiscing on what had already past,” he noted.
Bertrand Traore has added up to three other Burkina Faso players who tested positive for the Covid 19. He is replaced by Issoufou Dayo.
Dayo is optimistic about their future performance and says he is not under any form of pressure as captain in Traoré’s absence.
“Tomorrow I will be the captain in absence of Betrand. There is no pressure. I will continue advising my teammates like I’ve always done, so they play well tomorrow.”
Cameroon will take on Ethiopia in the first match while Burkina Faso face Cape Verde in encounters where next round tickets are ticking.
