Ngombe Etame was voted player of the 2020 Elite One season by fans of Bamboutos FC, and rightfully earned a precedent move to country giants, Cotonsport.

Whilst at Cotonsport, Ngombe Etame asserted himself as a juggernaut in the defense line, alongside Bienvenu Banga. The pair led Cotonsport to the semis of the CAF Confederation Cup.

Etame was equally of utmost importance to the intermediate Lions at the African Nations Championship – 2020, on home soil. He aided Ndtoungou Martin’s side to a fourth place finish.
