CAF Confed Cup: Aymen Harzi’s late Goal Not Enough As Sfaxien Lose To Ahly

Club Sportif Sfaxien lost 2-1 on the patch of Al Ahly of Tripoli, on Sunday evening, as part of the second day in the CAF Confederation Cup group stage.

The Libyans quickly took the lead following an own goal from Chadi Hammami at the 6th minute. Fragile in defense, the CS Sfaxien conceded another goal, scored by Salah Al Tahar in the 53rd minute.

At the end of the match, Aymen Harzi gave hope to his side by reducing the score from the penalty spot, with four minutes of regular time left. It however ended on that note.

In the standings, Pyramids take the lead of the group as the lone side with six points ahead of Ahly Tripoli and CS Sfaxien (3 points).

Zanaco are left bottom with 0 points recorded thus far.
