CAF Confed Cup: Amazulu Line Consecutive Wins

On Friday, AmaZulu FC beat Entente de Setif 1-0 on match day 3 of the CAF Champions League which took place at the Moses Mabhida stadium in Durban.

Just like the game against Horoya, it was Luvuyo Memela who scored the only goal for the South African club, allowing them to remain Group B runners-up with their second successive home win.

The goal scored by Luvuyo Memela came at the 41st minute on an assist from Philani Zulu.

The South Africans inflicted on the Algerian team their second successive defeat of the tournament, after the defeat against Raja Casablanca in their second outing in the competition. The Black Eagles, twice winners of Africa’s biggest club tournament (CAF CL) in 1988 and 2014, are therefore on the brink of exiting the tourney.

Moroccan side Raja Athletic Club leads with 6 points and a game in hand. They are followed by AmaZulu (6 points), ES Sétif (3 points) and the Guinean side – Horoya AC (0 points having played a game less).
