Mbella Etouga Crush Dreams In Baba Yara

Mbella Etouga Frank has continued the second round of the Ghanaian Championship just where he left off with the first round.

The striker who has recently been named the ‘Babayara giant’ completed a brace late in the game to snatch three points and crush the hearts of Dreams FC fans.

The first of two goals came from the penalty spot as the EX Fortuna forward wittingly took an extra touch and leaned on the hands on the goalie. There was contact and the referee ultimately gave a penalty that was calmly converted by Etouga at the 72nd minute.

10 minutes later, Etouga was razor sharp to score from his rebound after his initial shot struck the post, before he finished on a second attempt.

The brace was Etouga’s 13th goal this season, and his 11th goal at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Kotoko have now picked up 40 points from 18 games so far, and they increasingly look favorites to clinch the ultimate prize.

Next up for Kotoko is a trip away to Bechem United as they look to claim their 25th trophy in their illustrious history.
