Ligue 1: Toko Ekambi Leaves Blueprint Against Lorient

By defeating Lorient 4-1 on match day 27, Olympic Lyonnais took 3 points on the road, with Karl Toko Ekambi scoring yet another goal.

Lyon struck first, and it came as early as the 5th minute courtesy Romain Faivre.

Having lost their last game to LOSC, it was clear to see why Lyon played with the kind of urgency they did, and it wasn’t long before they bagged another.

Moussa Dembélé added another at the 26th minute for the away side, before Lorient rallied to pull one back through Terem Moffi, 12 minutes after the start of the second half.

Karl Toko Ekambi, just like he has been doing for the past weeks, scored from Dembele’s assist. The goal meant Toko has contributed to his team’s 10 goals this season; 7 goals scored and 3 assists.

OL added another through Romain Faivrewho completed his brace at the 78th minute.

The result takes Lyon to 6th place in the league table with 41 points. Up next for Lyon is Porto in the Europa league on March 9.
