Didier Lamkel Scores Brace In Khimki’s Defeat To Lokomotiv Moscow

Didier Lamkel Zé opened his account by scoring twice for Khimki on match day 19 of the Russian premier league this Sunday March 6.

It was a bittersweet experience for the Bertoua native however, as his side went on to lose 3-2 to Russian juggernauts, Lokomotiv Moscow.

Ze’ with his trademark predatory instincts opened scores for the away side as early as the 6th minute, from Glushakov’s assist.

Lokomotiv replied two minutes later with Dutchman Gyrano Kerk netting the equaliser.

21 minutes in, the home side then went ahead courtesy Wilson Isidor’s strike. Lamkel stepped up once more when needed and equalised for his team (72). Khimki couldn’t salvage the point, though, as Jan Kuchta scored with 10 minutes left on the clock.

Lokomotiv had a chance to make it four, but Zhemaletdinoh missed from the spot. Khimki are bottom placed with 14 points in the Russian premier division, but have a chance to save themselves with 10 matches left.

It was the man on loan from Royal Antwerp’s second game with the side, and his impressive display won him a man of the match performance.
