BAL: Ferroviaro Rock DUC, Monastir Roll As Conference Leaders

After a day off in the Sahara Conference at the ongoing Basketball Africa League, teams were back in action on Tuesday March 8 with games four and five.

SLACK Basketball took on US Monastir. The two franchises were successful in their first games, and a match – up in game four was only going to see one team defeat the other.

Slack won with swagger against DUC 85-70, whilst US Monastir kept full – guard to defeat Clube Ferroviaro 77-71 on opening day 1.

In an old – fashioned defensive display blended with blocks, Chris Crawford was putting in a shift defending the rim. His efforts in the second quarter didn’t stop the first half of the ball game to end 44-25 as Monastir opened a 19 point lead, with erstwhile Wesley Christian High School Guard – Oussama Marnaoui, making some big 3 points.
