CAF Confed Cup: Karim Konaté’s Brace Sink USGN In Cotonou

Asec Mimosas defeated the USGN 2-1 in a game counting for the fourth day of the group stage of the CAF Cup, on Sunday, January 13, 2022, in Cotonou.

The Cote D’Ivoire reps scored two goals in the course of the first half thanks to Karim Konaté’s double in the 3rd and 32nd minutes of the game.

USGN halved the deficit at the 48th minute thanks to Adebayor Zakari, but that was pretty much that, as ASEC deployed wonderful game management.

It is sweet revenge for Asec Mimosas of Cote d’Ivoire as they were beaten 2-0 by USGN in the reversed fixture.

Next up for ASEC will be Tanzanian reps Simba next weekend still at the GMK stadium in Cotonou.
