CAF CL: Raja Ends Amazulu’s Fairytale To Book Quarter Finals Spot

Raja Casablanca qualified for the quarter-finals of the CAF Champions League after their victory against South African side Amazulu via a 2-0 margin, on Friday at the Moses Mabhidaen stadium in Durban, on match day 5 of group B.

Hamid Ahadad opened the scoring for the Greens with an early goal in the 6th minute, before his team-mate Ilias Haddad widened the gap at the 77th minute. Prior to the game, Amazulu was confident having lined up two victories at home, with a record that read one hundred percent, as they were undefeated at home.

At the end of this match, Raja consolidated her position as leaders with 12 points, while AmaZulu is 3rd with 6 points, but have no hope of sailing through, as results elsewhere showed Horoya was beaten by ES Setif.

The group is settled even before match day 6. Raja and Setif make the quarter finals. The last game will prolly be for the sake of standings.
