CAF Confed Cup: Al Ittihad Escape Leopards’ Scare

On match day 5 of the CAF Confederations Cup, Al Ittihad defeated Royal Leopards (3-2) on Sunday.

Ittihad kept their chances of qualification intact after the successful operation carried out on Sunday, March 20 by winning against the Royal Leopards (3-2).

Al-Warfali opened the scoring for Ittihad just before the pose, but Royal Leopards leveled back terms at the 58th minute through Mokenkoane.

Bongani Colani Dlamini then put the visitors ahead, at the 66th minute of the game.

Anas Fouzi Emran drew the game level four minutes after Royal Leopards had taken the lead, before Al Warfali scored one more to gift his side a 3-2 victory.

Al Ittihad are second with 10 points, two points behind group B leaders Orlando Pirates
