2022 World Cup Draw: Morocco Paired With 2018 Silver & Bronze Medalists

Morocco now knows their opponents for the 2022 World Cup. The draw held on Friday in Qatar, placed Morocco in group F.

The Atlas Lions have been grouped in a relatively tough group alongside Belgium, Croatia and Canada.

Croatia ended runner-up in what was their best return in the competition in 2018, while Belgium ended third in the same tournament after defeating the three Lions of England. Canada are returning to the showpiece for the first time after 36 years, but they proved a tough steak throughout the qualifiers.

The Atlas Lions qualified for their 6th FIFA World Cup Qatar-2022, after beating DR Congo 4-1 in the return leg of the play-off last Tuesday at the Mohammed V sports complex in Casablanca.

In the first leg, Morocco got a precious one-all result from the Martyrs stadium in Kinshasa.

Morocco is one of four Arab teams qualified to compete in the 2022 World Cup, with Saudi Arabia, Tunisia and Qatar as host countries.
