CAF CL Q Draw: Super Cup Remake Sees Raja Ready For Ahly

After the group phase of the CAF champions league, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) conducted the draw for the quarter-finals on Tuesday.

The pick of the round will oppose Al Ahly to Raja Casablanca in a rematch of the last Supercup.

Egyptian club Al Ahly won the African Super Cup, beating Raja Casablanca on penalties 6-5 after one-all in regular time at the Ahmed ben Ali stadium in Doha.

Raja opened the scoring in the first half through Hamid Ahadad (13th), before Al Ahly scored the equalizing goal in the 90th minute through Mohamed Taher. Les Aigles Verts won the CAF Cup at the expense of JS Kabylie, while Al Ahly won the Champions League by beating South African club Kaizer Chiefs.

The quarter final game will therefore be daunting for 11-time winners and current cup holders Ahly.

The matches will be played in home and away matches. The semi-finals will oppose the winner of duel Q1 to that of duel Q2, and the winner of duel Q4 to that of duel Q3.
