CAF Confed Cup Draw: Mazembe Paired Against 2020 Runners-up

The lone Congolese club still in the race for CAF interclub competitions, TP Mazembe will be oppose 2020 CAF Confederations Cup silver medalists – Pyramids SC (Egypt) in the quarter-finals of the competition.

It is what was obtained at the draw conducted on Tuesday, April 5 in Cairo, Egypt. Former Angolan legend Flavio Amado and Mouine Chaabani, Tunisian gaffer in charge of Al Masry assisted in the draw.

Mazembe will travel on April 17, 2022 to the June 30 stadium in Cairo. The return match will be played in Lubumbashi, at the Mazembe stadium, It on April 24.

In their quarter-finals run, Pyramids FC finished 2nd in Group A (13 points) behind Al Ahli Tripoli.

In the other enthralling games, the RS Berkane (Morocco), of Florent Ibenge, will be play Al Masry (Egypt).

There will also be a face-off between two Libyan clubs: Al Ittihad vs Al Ahli Tripoli. Finally, Simba SC (Tanzania) will face Orlando Pirates (RSA).
