AFCON U23 Q: Eto’o To Reinforce Guy Fetchine’s Team

Etienne Eto’o Pineda has been called to join the U23 Lions currently camping in Yaounde, Cameroon, as per sportglitz.com sources.

The son of Cameroon’s FA boss and global icon Samuel Eto’o – will make his way to camp alongside others from the old continent of Euroupe, as the U23 Lions go up against Angola later this month, in a heated qualifiers game.

The UD Plobense forward has always had an unquestionable character towards Cameroon, and he always answers when the call comes knocking.

Pineda previously represented Cameroon in the 2021 U20 AFCON in Mauritania, where he scored two goals in Cameroon’s journey to the quarter finals.

It only makes sense that for the sake of follow-up, the 20 year old gets summoned with the U23s, and the timing couldn’t be more perfect, as the country await to see the teen hit his full potential. Cameroon will play against Angola in a two legged tie later this month, whilst looking to qualify for the last qualifying round, and potentially making it through to Morocco for the tourney finals mid next year.
